"Aha!" Moment

I've always been a person who struggled with insecurity. I knew I was different but I didn't  fully understand my differences. As I got older, I realized that my differences were good and started to see myself how God sees me. One day the reality of me being important and of great value rang very true for me. At that point, I realized I didn't want to give myself to just anybody and decided the only person who could have me would be my husband. 

Sometimes, even when I'm walking through the grocery store, I see what is being portrayed in the media for how young girls should present themselves and it's alluring, revealing, provacative,etc. I believe that if we change the faces in the media to present girls as wholesome, intelligent young women, while still being sexy and trendy we can reshape the morals, values and standards of the next generation of leaders . 

A Cut Above The Rest

I think what makes iGlow Mentoring different from other programs is that iGlow has me as it's leader. Every step, every decision and every connection we make, I consult God first! We are not a christian organization, however, I lead this organization on biblical principals with a standard of excellence. The bible says that if He be lifted up, He will draw all men, so it's really just a matter of being founded on biblical principals and sticking to the morals and values I believe in.

I'm soo excited for the iRock Purity conference happening in Chicago on March 31st. It's my desire for every young lady in attendance to  gain an understanding of their value! For them to know they are priceless gems. Once they internalize these truths, they are more likely to respect themselves, their parents, and others around them. The goal is that they'll have a better understanding of how important it is for them to excel in school and in the community, thus creating leaders of our next generation.

I Wanna Rock Right Now!

I rock my stance passionately because I want young girls to know that no matter what their yesterday looked like they can make a decision to  have a brighter tomorrow.
